To Whom It May Concern: I have been asked to write a letter of recommendation for Mr. Al Guevara and I am pleased to do so. I have known Al for almost two years. In October 2000 I was promoted to supervisor of the training department and Al was promoted to Web Master of the training department´s database. Prior to Al´s appointment, the training database was cumbersome to use and lacking in useful technical content. Al completely revamped the appearance and increased the functionality of the database in the first month of his appointment. Myself, my lead trainer, and others worked closely with Al to provide him with the latest information needed for training and developing the staff. Revisions and updates were given to Al on a daily basis and with few exceptions he implemented them immediately. Within three months Al had produced one of the best web based training tools I have ever had the pleasure to work with. For my position as head of the training department, this training database was my primary tool for teaching and also giving my students the much needed hands on experience necessary to be successful customer service agents. Al´s unwavering dedication to make this database the best benefited the entire BellSouth project immensely. In the final analysis, the tens of thousands of satisfied BellSouth customers who have called us in the past year are the true beneficiaries of Al Guevara´s hard work. More impressive and important than Al´s technical job skills is his dedication to self-improvement, personal work ethics, and ability to get along well with others. In the time that I´ve known him he has always been positive, energetic, and well respected by his coworkers. He is proactive and a team player.
